INTERNAL COMPLAINT COMMITTEE (ICC) OF MORAN COMMERCE COLLEGE

          Internal Complaint Committee of Moran Commerce College was formed on 11th January,2023 in the meeting called by GB President Dr. Jatin Chutia and Principal (i/c)/Secretary, Mrs. Iveelata Chutia with the staff (both teaching and non-teaching) of the college.

Objectives of the Committee

  • To look into the matterof sexual harassment and women/girls’ safety at the College.
  • To ensure implementation of proper reporting of the complaints and their follow-up producers.
  • To Provide an environment free of gender-based discrimination.

Scope of the Committee

          ICC has exclusive power to receive and address complaints from any of the female member of students, teaching and non-teaching staffs of the college.

Procedure

The internal complaint committee shall adopt the following steps to resolve/ sort out the offences
  1. The complain must be lodged to the concern authority of the college by the complainant(s)/aggrieved person(s).
  2. The college authority will forward it to ICC for necessary step.
  3. The ICC will look into the matter (s)/incident (s) in a meeting with its members an adapt a resolution for conducting an enquiry into the incident (s).
  4. After completion of the enquiry, the ICC will recommend the following steps –
    • Apology for minor offence.
    • Expulsion from the college for few days, if the offence is not so serious.
    • Refer the serious offence case(s) to the college authority.
    • Refer the case(s) to the legal authority by the concern college authority, if needed.

Report

          Till date no case(s) has been lodged by the female categories (including girls’ student, teaching and non-teaching female staff) of the college and hence no case is found and recorded so far.
